It takes a lot of courage to ask for help, so be proud of yourself for taking this difficult step. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has over four years of experience working in the mental health field. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings including home, community, and office-based. I have treated an array of issues, including anxiety, depression, bipolar, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral disorders, adoption issues, grief and trauma, and family issues. Currently, I provide individual, couple, and family therapy at Anchor Counseling in Cranston, RI. I use an eclectic approach in treatment to address the specific needs of the client. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) techniques, but also draw from Family Therapy, Behavior Modification, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I work hard to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment to help clients feel heard and accepted. Each session is based on the client's specific goals, which makes the therapeutic experience effective and purposeful.
