I am a Pastoral Counselor/Psychotherapist, a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counseling and ordained minister with graduate level training in marriage and family therapy and theology. It is my belief that we are all on a sacred journey of growth and healing. As a therapist I engage with people along this journey when their lives become so difficult or painful that their usual supports and coping skills are not enough. The good news about this pain is that it is calling them into a greater wholeness and inviting them to grow. I see my clients as individuals who are courageous enough to engage in a process of growth and self-understanding. Because of this courage I have a deep respect for my clients and provide for them a safe place to unburden themselves, examine fears, and explore ways of moving forward. Though I am prepared to address spiritual concerns, including negativity toward religion, I do not force religious beliefs on anyone. I am respectful of my client's beliefs and values. I always feel privileged when individuals allow me to walk with them along their journey for a time.
