I am a licensed Professional Counselor specializing in individuals (adolescents and adults), couples and families. I have a particular passion for working with Step/Blended Families in transition and those struggling with emotional isolation, intimacy and connection, ineffective communication, parenting struggles, stress, depression, anxiety, or low self-worth. My approach blends insight, problem solving, creating new awareness and identifying strategies for change. My background, experience and training includes certifications in Step/Blended Family Counseling and Trauma. My approach with couples is based on advanced training through the Gottman Institute which provides tools to support/repair troubled marriages and committed relationships and strengthens happy ones. My training also includes five years working specifically with struggling adolescents and their families to increase family connection, positive problem solving skills and self-esteem.
