Lack of insight into our own psychological makeup can lead to a variety of malaises that include depression, anxiety, sleep problems, and substance abuse. Adults and couples I work with who have these conditions often exhibit marriage and family discord, isolation and loneliness, work and financial difficulties, and unhealthy and destructive life-style choices; children and teens demonstrate emotional and behavioral self-regulation problems, deficient school performance, and poor friendship choices. In my work I seek to find maladaptive patterns, and with client assistance, find remedies so individuals at any age can lead happy, healthy, productive, responsible, independent lives. I have thirteen years of academic training in psychology and mental health, culminating in four university degrees. I bring a unique blend of skills to my psychology practice using a strong theoretical base, while specializing in the techniques of psychotherapy, family systems and marriage therapy, and child and adolescent counseling. All combined, my comprehensive training along with 23+ years of professional experience provide unique insight and assistance to all who seek lasting change. Helping others overcome barriers and achieve life satisfaction is my strength. I tailor session length, time, and day to client needs in both Lexington and Danville.
