The severity of your problems can also block you from obtaining your goals in life, such as experiencing pleasure and maintaining healthy relationships. Following the initial evaluation phase of treatment, we can help you identify precipitant or triggering events and factors that maintain your difficulties. Although individuals vary with regard to their willingness to work hard and change, almost everyone can improve their quality of life by resolving self-defeating problems, symptoms and behaviors. My training in Clinical Psychology was predominantly focused on a rebuilding model as it relates to individual problems. A secondary interest has been in short term cognitive therapy as it applies to OCD, PTSD and depressive mood disorders. I am skilled in working with stuck marriages and difficult adolescent problems. My practice also offers a wide array of psychological assessment, including neurological examination. This targets ADD/ADHD, closed head injury, epilepsy and related medical/behavioral problems associated with these disorders. We serve children, adolescents and adults.
