I believe that therapy is a collaboration between therapist and client. My goal is to help you to live a full and satisfying life; through self-awareness, more flexible and creative coping skills, improved self-esteem and an increasing ability to make better decisions on your own behalf. I am able to form a therapeutic bond with a great variety of people and I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with adults, adolescents and children. With years of experience in addictions treatment, and post-graduate training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, I am well suited to assist people who struggle with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as concerns about their substance use. I am particularly interested in women's issues, eating disorders, and trauma. I create a warm, trusting environment in which you can feel safe to express your feelings, and reflect on your relationships, disappointments and successes. My goal is to help you explore your life so that you can heal your losses, make the changes you want, and feel good about yourself.
