I see clients who are struggling with food and/or body image. There is usually some type of disordered eating such as binge eating disorder, bulimia, anorexia, chronic dieting or some other mixture of food issues. I see both children and adults and work with them to find a normal relationship with food. Both individual therapy and group therapy is offered. Clents with eating disorders always require professional help. Online counseling may be available. I am a nutrition therapist and Registered Dietitian with 20+ years of experience working with eating disorders. Clients learn the non dieting method called intuitive eating, since constant dieting can promote weight gain and disordered eating. Intuitive eating helps clients find a normal relationship with food reach their natural body weight.
