One of the Top Treatment Programs in the World The Ranch is tucked away along the Piney River in the midst of over 2000 acres, just 45 minutes southwest of Nashville, The Ranch is known world-wide for pioneering trauma focused treatment. We specialize in intimacy, love and sex issues, and developed one of the very first eating disordered treatment programs for women. Our experientially based programs are designed to meet each person as an individual and provide a variety of ways to explore the feelings and behaviors that hold the individual hostage. We help each person move from "survive" to "thrive" by supporting each client and family member to meet their authentic self, and find new ways to embrace it. Our experience at The Ranch has taught us that our clients flourish best in an environment of support and respect where they can make healthy choices and are responsible for the consequences of those choices. Meet Our Four-Legged Staff & Experience Quality For those meeting the challenges of addictive and compulsive behaviors, The Ranch is a path to hope and healing. Here you will meet Albert, the sole Ranch donkey, who has been with The Ranch long before it opened as a treatment center. A steadfast sentinel, Albert has protected the newborn calves against predators such as coyotes and wild dogs. Anyone who has worked with Albert knows his determination and strength - some may call stubbornness. Clients have described Albert as a "Teddy Bear" because he is so loving and devoted. Did we mention he is also very vocal when he wants to get our attention - he loves to be involved and participate with all aspects of the equine program at The Ranch. The Ranch provides comprehensive recovery treatment for survivors of childhood and/or adult trauma of all types. Comorbid addictive and compulsive disorders can be treated concurrently. Disorders such as post traumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder, dissociative disorder, obsessive/compulsive disorder, and panic disorder are addressed by our multi-disciplinary team. The particular approach for trauma treatment is determined on an individual basis to meet the client's needs. You can trust our highly educated and therapeutically skilled staff. We incorporate Christian Service as well as other higher power beliefs while respecting everyone's right to worship.
