I use a person-centered approach to counseling to encourage clients to think for themselves and empower them to bring balance and boundaries to their lives. My goal is for clients to find hope and recognize resources for tackling their issues. No matter what the issue, I believe that a commitment to seek counseling and do the work required to make changes takes tremendous courage. When people make that decision, I am equally committed to helping them reach their goals. I work with a wide range of men's and women's issues including PTSD, sexual abuse, addictions, communication and conflict management, domestic violence, boundary setting, childhood trauma, relationship development, and marriage concerns. I also work with couples to improve parenting skills and relationships with children. Over the past 10+ years, I have seen incredible results with a technique called EMDR that I use to assist clients with PTSD and other issues, and I have seen quick results for clients who have been "stuck" in traumatic patterns.
