I really enjoy working with children, teenagers, and adults who have ADHD, Asperger's or Autism. I use neurofeedback, play therapy, and parent coaching to help my clients and their families to live, play and function in healthier and happier lives. I seem to do particularly well with hyperactive children, as I also have ADHD. I can relate to their struggles to sit still and get along with others. I help parents develop proactive parenting strategies, so that problems decrease naturally. I believe in coming up with practical solutions that work for individuals and families. Neurofeedback is an incredibly useful tool to help calm the brain down. When we can calm the brain, everything else in therapy and parenting is easier. Everything you are trying to accomplish in therapy, school and work is not nearly so hard when your brain is working more efficiently. I believe that I am one of the few providers in our area that offers relationship-based therapy for those with autism, instead of just rewards or punishment for behavior issues. I help children and adults enjoy relationships with others, so, relationships are not so stressful for them.
