Difficult problems and situations hurt! More importantly, hurt often lingers, even years after it happened. Past hurts can dramatically impact how we feel about ourselves, and how we feel about and interact with family members and friends today. No one can change the past, but we have the capacity to learn how past hurts can affect our current peace of mind and our relationships. My role as a counselor is to help you explore those painful thoughts and experiences that impact your ability to live life to its fullest. Together we look at the beliefs, attitudes and behaviors that you find troubling, gain a better understanding of those drivers, begin to resolve the pain and start the healing process. My counseling approach includes compassion, empathy and an intuitive understanding as we explore your specific thoughts, feelings, attitudes and behaviors. I will never make choices or decisions for you. My role is to help you explore your thoughts and feelings and arrive at the choices that are right for you!
