My ideal client is someone who wants to know more about him/herself and is ready to explore their life issues. They value the therapist-client relationship, and are willing to be open about their problems (depression, anxiety, relationship troubles, etc.) they are facing in life or in therapy. I appreciate the gravity of attending therapy, and recognize how hard it can be for clients to even step through the door. My ideal client is someone who wants to face this and to experience growth through the context of the therapy. I specialize in young adult and adolescence life issues, such as self-esteem, failure to launch, depression, anxiety and life transitions. I also specialize in psychological testing and assessment, which can be helpful for understanding emotional, interpersonal, intrapersonal and cognitive functioning, as well as for treatment planning. I have extensive training in adolescent and young adult life issues. Whether working with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, or other life problems, I have found one of the most effective interventions is a strong therapist-client relationship. Working together, we will focus on developing a strong, trusting, and safe relationship.
