My private work is a part time endeavor and I have 30 years of full time experience working in school settings both private and public, grades K-12. I have worked half these years in Special Education and the latter half as a School Counselor in an Elementary School. Hours are more flexible during school breaks. Working with children is a rewarding and sustaining activity for me, personal experience as a parent and grandparent have only added to this strength. Helping individuals with mood management, in particular anger has been a long time interest. Looking at relational problems between parent / child or adults are also an active area of interest. My clinical experience with school aged children is significant. Play therapy is a tool used often, to assist in identifying feelings, improve expression and to problem solve. Adjusting to family changes such as parent separations, divorce and blended families are an area of expertise.
