When life has dealt some hard blows, when we feel adrift or our lives are in transition; when we can't seem to get past irritations, annoyances, or injuries in relationships that used to be loving and secure; when sadness, fear, or anxiety are barriers to living the life we want for ourselves and those we love; or when unforeseen trauma, divorce, or family conflict adversely affect our children, we may need help in finding ways to get around, through,or over these barriers. My focus is on assisting couples and families through challenging relationship conflict, losses, or traumatic experience. I offer help to parents who want to provide optimal parenting to children including help with the effects of divorce. The treatment of anxiety and/or depression is also a focus in my practice. With Advanced Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), my couples' therapy and work with families is informed by this approach. I am trained and experienced in the treatment of children, though I limit my practice to assisting parents. I am trained and experienced in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
