I am a clinical psychologist with 30 years' experience working in diverse settings. My experience is most extensive in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families (including behavior problems, ADHD, anxiety, and parenting issues), although I also provide mental health services to adults and couples. My basic approach to therapy is to help the client/family to identify and build on current strengths and become more aware of ways to use these strengths while also developing new skills that will be helpful in addressing the concerns that are presently causing stress/distress for the client/family. I have training and experience in abuse and trauma, EMDR, anxiety and depression, relationship issues, anger management, Energy Psychology, coping with chronic pain or illness, additive behaviors, and a variety of other areas. At the initial session we will discuss the reasons for coming for treatment, gather relevant information, and begin to establish the goals for treatment. Daytime, evening and Saturday appointments are available.
