The counseling experience is one in which a person may utilize the safe and supportive atmosphere to truly express themselves emotionally and intellectually, as well as experiment with new ways of being. As your counselor I will actively work to understand the person you are and the person you would like to become. Throughout this goal directed process we will collaboratively uncover the dynamic role you play in making these specific life changes, ideally resulting in the discovery of empowerment we each have over our own lives. My professional areas of interests include working with those who struggle with anxiety and depressive issues especially in regards to relationships and major life transitions, counseling student-athletes, self-worth, LGBT issues, and group therapy.
