As a psychotherapist and Resident in Counseling in private practice, I specialize in helping adults, adolescents and children with issues that keep them from feeling and performing at their best. I believe there is a powerful connection between physical and mental well-being. Because of this belief, I find clients are seeking me out more often for anxiety & body image challenges. At any age, concerns about appearance can affect self-esteem and social functioning. One of my goals is to help clients move toward feeling more vibrant and energetic by increasing awareness, making peace with the past and living more fully in the present. In addition, I enjoy working with children and adolescents. I address maturation & development, with specific attention to attachment, shame and courage. Our youths are faced with many challenges, i.e., bullying, parent-child conflict, etc. As they begin to address the factors that destabilize them, they are able to boost self-esteem and resilience.
