I work best with clients who are open to learning new ways of looking at life and who are interested in personal growth. I have experience with adults, new parents, couples, college students and adolescents. I have a developmental focus, viewing all issues as an opportunity for personal and relational growth. When working with children, parent/caregiver involvement is a must, as they are essential in the child's development. I specialize in family systems and exposure to developmental trauma. I incorporate attachment styles and intergenerational patterns into therapy as a tool for understanding why problems exist and for learning new ways of being. I enjoy using therapeutic tools such as play, sand tray, art, writing and other forms of expression to improve communication and understanding of issues. I use these tools to externalize issues, allowing clients to see the issue apart from themselves. This provides the opportunity to try new skills.
