Counseling can be an adventure in self-discovery, a place to clarify your thoughts and get a fresh perspective about your life. I will help you develop insight into yourself, your life, your relationships and, also, if desired, help you identify specific changes that will bring you a higher quality of life. The better you know yourself, the easier it is to know what you want in life. Finding your own voice and having the confidence to express it is one of the foundational pieces in developing a rich experience in life, and an essential tool in relating to others. One of my goals as a therapist is to offer you a safe place. I have spent over 25 years treating clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, divorce, and many other issues. I find that when processed in a safe environment, life's greatest challenges can deepen perspective and give you greater wisdom. One of the most common problems in our culture today involves creating and maintaining relationships with others. I can help you sort out the relational dynamics that are problematic. You will learn new skills which will help you relate more closely in some relationships and, learn how to create boundaries where distance is needed.
