It is my belief that we are in constant change. When change comes, there is a mourning of the old to make way for the new. No matter how exciting new changes are, those changes cause a range of emotions while we adjust. I help people move through these transitions gaining meaning from them, using therapy techniques tailored to the needs of you and/or your family. Each person walking through the door is unique, and while my approach for each person is grounded in evidence based practice, the sessions are as individual as the person/s seeking therapy. I specialize in helping women in Relationship Recovery, to navigate through difficult emotions after a relationship falls apart, including those who have been in abusive relationships. I also work with women and adolescent females who have been bullied or with low self-esteem, families in transitions, and relationship-building strategies. I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Social Work with a Masters in Social Work and specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, having studied and taught relationship education for five years.
