My ideal client is someone looking for marital or couples counseling, help with parenting issues, or anyone experiencing a difficulty adjusting to a change in their life. I work with depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders and individuals, couples, and families. I love to work with women on issues of self actualization and assertiveness. It is great to see someone feel empowered and able to operate in life from their genuine authentic self. I believe a couple contemplating divorce should exhaust every possibility they can stay together before divorcing... in the words of Dr. Phil, "You should have to earn your way out of a marriage, especially if children are involved...". Coaching parents in "Parenting With Love and Logic is another specialty I have. I am "pro-active" in the work I do with people and try to get into their issues in the first session. I realize people are in pain when then come to their first session and are looking for some relief. I offer a "negotiated fee" for those without insurance coverage.
