Welcome to my counseling practice for adults, adolescents, couples and families. I am a Board Certified, Licensed Professional Counselor of Mental Health who has been practicing in Delaware for over 20 years. I treat a broad range of issues including anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress, marriage/relational problems, issues specific to men and women, financial issues, and the everyday struggles of daily life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is central to healing. I strive to offer a safe, caring,and collaborative environment where you will feel listened to and never judged. I integrate therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR. EMDR is a widely researched and accepted treatment for trauma, insomnia, anxiety and depression. People find that they get relief from their distress more rapidly with EMDR than with talking therapy alone. I also have extensive training in couples therapy. Many clients come to see me after they've been to other therapists. The combination of my emphasis on creating a warm connection, my use of humor and laughter, and my years of therapeutic experience and training may be the reason why this is so.
