I specialize in working with children and families using strengths to overcome challenges. I have worked with children for over 15 years. My interest is in helping children with anxiety, depression, self esteem, behavioral issues and/or ADHD, and adjustment issues such as foster care placement and adoption. My goal is to empower families to make the necessary changes in order to create strong, loving environments where children can thrive. I am trained in PCIT - a specialized therapy that helps oppositional/defiant children ages 2-7 learn to listen to their parents. PCIT improves behavior while also strengthening the parent-child relationship. I have years of experience working with children in foster care, helping them adjust and deal with trauma. When not working in the outpatient office, I provide therapy in many schools throughout the Christina school district. I also provide trainings to daycare staff regarding mental health issues for children.
