Nothing is more exciting to me than building lives worth living with those who suffer. Over the years, my clients and I have replaced many life-threatening behaviors such as suicide, non-suicidal self-injury, and addiction with powerful coping skills that ease suffering and build hope. I have been amazed working alongside survivors of many of life's adversities, witnessing remarkable strength even when they believed they had none. So my ideal client is simply someone who wants to build a better life and is willing to make a call. Together, we can take the rest from there. My team and I offer a comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program in Wilmington, DE. DBT is an evidence-based treatment for complex, high risk concerns. It includes weekly individual therapy, weekly skills groups, telephone coaching as needed, and a therapist consultation team. I've been in practice since 2003, and I teach aspiring social workers at the University of Pennsylvania. I've counseled 911 families, consulted with the Navy, and more. For the past two years, I've been a member of Marsha Linehan's DBT Strategic Planning Meeting in Seattle.
