NOT ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS AT THIS TIME. Chronic or situational depression and/or anxiety can cause significant negative changes to your quality of life. Your symptoms can negatively impact your relationships, your work productivity and your health. If you're not feeling 'like yourself,' noticing changes in your sleep/appetite, losing interest in things you used to enjoy, or just going through difficult changes in your life, having someone to talk to can help. Usually, talking things through, practicing small lifestyle changes, learning a few coping tips, and doing some problem solving together can make all the difference. Caring for a loved one at home can be stressful. It is important to remember that your wellness is important too. You don't have to live with the sense of isolation, frustration and guilt often felt by caregivers. Supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral techniques, and problem solving tools can help. The scientific evidence is pretty clear that therapy, in addition to taking medications, can offer better outcomes for individuals with psychiatric conditions. We can work with your prescriber to monitor how well your medications are working and to possibly reduce the numbers and/or dosages of the medications you currently take.
