Many of us are private people, who need support and direction to overcome life's challenges. Confidentiality and acceptance are two important aspects of Fairhaven Counseling & Consulting. With an emphasis on "Keeping Private Lives Private", I focus on assisting clients to identify their inner strengths and develop effective coping skills. Throughout my career I have learned that clients progress most effectively with an honest, non-judgmental, compassionate, but direct approach.This, combined with modeling healthy boundaries and effective communication creates an optimal environment for change. I offer both personal & professional perspectives to overcoming trauma and rebuilding a life worth living. I specialize in trauma recovery & utilize EMDR and Brainspotting techniques. EMDR & BSP allows information within the brain to be reprocessed and reintegrated in a healthier manner. I have EMDR- Level II (with advanced training in attachment-focused EMDR and techniques with disassociation & personality disorders). Also, certified in Brainspotting Phase II. We don't become sick or healthy alone. Whether it is an accumulation of daily life stressors or you have experienced significant traumatic events and/or losses in the past, it takes courage to ask for support.
