I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy and feel it is my privilege to help people overcome psychological roadblocks to their hopes and dreams. I have a compassionate, empowering approach with special training in treating substance abuse, eating disorders, survivors of sexual abuse, and family and couples counseling, as well as depression and anxiety issues. I also work with family members who have a loved one with an addiction problem, as it can be so difficult when your loved one does not seem ready to change. I have a "co-therapist," my dog Zack. He is a loving presence in my office. He often helps clients relax and feel at home. However, Zack stays in another room when I have clients who have allergies and/or do not wish to have him present during sessions.
