It can be challenging to figure out where to begin in getting help for a child, teenager, or adult who is having a hard time staying focused, learning in school, holding down a job, making and keeping friends, having stable and satisfying relationships, controlling his or her emotions and behavior, or developing the life skills needed to take care of himself or herself. I offer comprehensive psychological evaluations as an important step in developing action plans that are based on your or your child's unique strengths, limitations, needs, and preferences. I specialize in assessment of clients aged 8 to 24, and also see adults over age 24 for evaluation depending on the specific concerns. In addition, I offer short-term, goal-oriented therapy focused on helping people clarify their concerns, focus their efforts toward change, and implement a realistic plan for reaching their goals. The issues for which I offer help cover a wide spectrum of challenges, including intellectual disabilities, learning difficulties, ADHD, behavior problems, peer/relationship difficulties, anxiety and mood problems, and thought problems. An initial appointment is usually available within two weeks. Please visit my website at terrimillerphd.com for more information.
