Sometimes life's challenges leave us wondering; sometimes they may even appear almost too much to bear alone. It has been my privilege for more than 25 years to walk alongside individuals, couples and families. Counseling allows you to discover, modify and implement life strategies to reduce stress levels, manage difficult situations and improve relationships with family, friends and co-workers. Together we also can discover ways of reducing feelings of being unsure and/or unsafe in relationships, from experiencing persistent depression or anxiety, from being weighed down by stress and sometimes abusive anger. Of special interest to me is conflict resolution, working with anxiety, stress and/or anger management; in some instances, this may include working through domestic violence issues. Yet another area of particular importance to me is working with adults who, as children, were raised in a family troubled with an addicted parent or parents, individuals with special concerns and needs; these adults sometimes identify themselves as ACOA's (Adult Children of Alcoholics or adult children from dysfunctional families).
