I deeply respect a person who makes that call to request professional help, and walks through my door for the first time. It takes courage, and our culture does not often make it easy to access to mental health services. We are emotional, relational, resilient creatures, and sometimes we need another skilled person to help us move forward in life. My experience in outpatient and inpatient mental health settings, as well as medical/rehabilitation settings, has equipped me with solid skills to treat most mental health and relational problems. After a thorough assessment during our initial visit, I will individualize treatment. I am a resourceful and creative clinician, who will team up with patients to find working solutions to their unique challenges. The populations I enjoy working with most include people struggling with anxiety or depression, adoptive families and individuals, pastors and ministers, women facing career and parenting transitions, and couples. I have been married for 26 years, and I am raising four children ages 7 to 16.
