My therapeutic intervention is looking at the past as necessary in making changes for the future. I'm certain that any unwanted behavior can be unlocked by recognizing the purpose or wanted outcome for said behavior and my passion is helping you identify that unmet need and make healthy changes. I enjoy working with clients that are willing to do things outside of the therapeutic office setting such as writing, art, and/or practicing skills learned, and then reporting back in session the helpfulness of each strategy. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. My specialty is in addiction, codependency, and family of origin issues. However, more recently, I have become passionate about the importance of addressing several dynamics in divorced families today so I started a nonprofit called Promises of Hope. My practice offers counseling, education, and support services for individuals, couples, or families. I facilitate parenting workshops and a program for teens struggling in a single, step, or blended family situation. I accept clients with various relational struggles and who are willing to do the hard work of making change!
