Drawing from psychodynamic and developmentally based orientations, my approach is based on the belief that you bring a personally unique and formative, familial, and cultural experience to the table. I am also influenced by Humanistic psychology with its emphasis on the human experience and the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I am most adept at working with problems associated with adverse early life experiences (e.g., attachment; trauma), chronic conditions (physical or emotional), anxiety and depression, and life adjustment problems. I specialize in trauma, relationship problems, drug dependency and addiction, and helping individuals struggling with more extreme states of mind. In addition to the areas identified above, I have several years experience educating and supporting individuals struggling with psychotropic drug withdrawal and recovery, particularly benzodiazepine withdrawal and recovery. In my practice, you will find a compassionate, non-pathologizing, and personalized approach to your therapy.
