My ideal clients to work with are children or adolescents who are exhibiting behavior difficulties in school and or at home. This may include children who "act out", are aggressive, make poor behavioral choices, exhibit anxiety or depression or struggle socially or emotionally. Ideally they will have a doctor, parent/caregiver, school counselor or teacher recommend them for treatment. In addition to children and adolescents, I also work with adults. My specialty is working with at-risk youth who may exhibit inappropriate displays of anger, aggression or poor self-esteem. In addition I have experience working with children diagnosed with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, depression, generalized anxiety and or social anxiety. I am also experienced in grief and loss and separation. I am an action-orientated, solution focused therapist. I am compassionate, empathetic and strength-based in my approach. I employ role playing, creativity and art, and individually tailored interventions based on a particular client's developmental level, skills or interests.
