I provide therapy that addresses a wide range of issues including anxiety, health-related concerns, anger management, and personal and family problems. I have extensive experience with LGBT clients and alternative lifestyle issues, and I provide couples and marriage counseling. In addition, my 24-year career encompasses being a professor who has trained psychologists at four different universities. I have also taught over 250 national workshops which prepare psychologists for licensure as independently practicing professionals. This role as a trainer of hundreds of doctoral-level practitioners has allowed me to develop an extensive level of expertise which I apply in treating my patients and clients. Biological factors can have a significant psychological impact on people, so I have worked to gain expertise in this area. I have experience working in a variety of health settings, including extensive training in sexuality, cardiac concerns, memory and aging. I am currently associated with several physicians regarding psychological issues related to healthy living. Finally, as people experience various transitions in their lives, the ability to negotiate them successfully is an important skill to develop. My work with my clients affords them the ability to handle a current situation, as well as enhancing their skills for healthy living throughout their lifetime.
