I am passionate about seeing individuals experience freedom and healing from the repetitive life patterns that are causing them to feel stuck in a rut. I teach strategies and coping skills to deal with the everyday difficulties of life, and I focus on the relational aspect of therapy as a motivator of change. My areas of focus include treating depression, anxiety, marital distress, interpersonal difficulties, trauma-related issues, as well as sexual addiction (women). Some of my techniques in therapy include a cognitive-behavioral approach (CBT), mindfulness, interpersonal techniques, client-centered therapy, integration of Christian principles, and Adlerian play therapy with child clients. My completion of Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy allows me to empower couples to achieve more satisfying marriages. I've has received several trainings and certifications which include: completion of Level 1 training in Gottman Method couples therapy; completion of Pornography, Sexual Addiction, and Recovery intensive seminar; and completion of training on helping children cope with grief and divorce.
