Since 1994, I have been providing psychotherapy to children ( ages 5 and up), couples,and individual adults. I have extensive experience in treating depression,anxiety disorders,trauma, and loss. In addition to graduate school training in child , adult, and marital/family therapy, I have had specialized training in treating trauma, earning certification as a Trauma and Loss Consultant from the National Institute for Trauma and Loss in Children,Detroit,Mi. My practice has included helping patients who desire to do so incorporate their Christian faith in addressing emotional/psychological issues. From 2006 - 2008, I worked with traumatic brain injury patients and their families,becoming familiar with the adjustment issues they face. I strive to continually update my knowledge and skills. Since people are unique, treatment must be tailored to their specific needs . I believe that my job as a psychologist is to understand your experience, help you identify and access solutions to the problems for which you seek help, and provide a safe, professional and caring environment during that process.
