Life can be overwhelming, stressful, sad and even tragic at times. When working with clients during these difficult times, my first job as a therapist is to instill hope that life and relationships can improve. I have successfully helped many individuals, couples and families cope with some of the most difficult times of their lives. My hope is that I can collaborate with clients by building on their strengths and helping them to identify thought and behavior patterns that are helpful and those that may be unhealthy. Based upon this information we identify realistic goals to help improve their lives. I have training, experience, and skills in Marriage / Couples Therapy, Family Therapy, and Individual Therapy. I am level one trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, am trained in a couple communication Model called Core Communication, and am trained to administer the marriage and premarital inventory Prepare and Enrich. I attended training with John and Julie Gottman and have completed level one training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy. John Gottman's 40 years of research on marriage is the gold standard in the field for understanding marriage and couple relationships.
