Feeling sad, anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, not knowing where to turn? All relationships can create these feelings. Positive changes can happen with a caring and skilled professional. I work with children, adolescence, adults and the parents in issues of loss, disability, adoption, blended families, using a variety of helpful methods. I specialize in a holistic approach including cognitive therapy, assertiveness training, strategies to overcome grief, sensory processing, parenting strategies, behavioral and insight based in a supportive and caring style. I worked in education and at the university for 30 years and I have life experience that connects me with my clients. I use several strategies starting with a deep understanding of what brings a person to therapy. I have experience in several types of therapeutic approaches and I treat each adult as a unique individual with important needs. An holistic approach which includes insight, cognitive-behavioral, sensory processing, parenting styles. I use a variety of strategies with children: talking, crafts, games. I identify needs to quickly help a family support their children. I work with parents and adults who may have experienced challenges in the areas of disability, loss, adoption and blended families.
