Nearly all of us experience feelings of depression or anxiety at some point in our lives. Most of us face disappointments, conflicts, and losses. We all possess the potential for emotional well-being. I believe that a crucial aspect of emotional health is not feeling alone in dealing with our everyday concerns or with our deepest fears and longings. It is through establishing and building upon our therapist-client relationship that healing and change can emerge. I invite you to be an active, curious participant in the process so that together we can understand your thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and concerns. At the core, I believe that our past and present relationship patterns-both conscious and unconscious-form who we are and how we navigate the world. I view therapy as a way to gain new insight and a new experience of these patterns. Prior to pursuing a career in psychotherapy, I spent nearly a decade working internationally in communities ravaged by war. I bring a deep appreciation for culture, power, and privilege to my practice. My work is guided by a conviction that personal and societal transformations are interwoven.
