NEW PATIENTS: To schedule an appointment with me, please call the number below and request an initial appointment with Dr. Sheeran. My area of focus is on coping with life challenges and transitions (relationships, marriage, divorce, college, losses), as well as treatment of depression and anxiety. I have experience working with adults, veterans, the elderly, gay and lesbian clients and students. My approach is to utilize evidence-based treatments to improve patients' lives in the present and the future, and to discuss the past to the extent that it helps to understand current problems. My goal is to get people better. In addition to my clinical work, I conduct research on mental health services, focusing on tele-mental health. I am on faculty at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and adjunct faculty at the University of Rhode Island and Weill Cornell Medical College.
