My philosophy in working with clients is that every person is capable and deserving of living a happy and productive life. I have been a counselor for over 10 years and have worked with clients from adolescents to senior adults. Many of the issues that clients have come to me to work on include anxiety/depression, adjustment issues (e.g. divorce and major life changes), and communication/relationship issues. Regardless of what a client may come to see me for, relationship issues seem to become a significant part of our therapeutic work. My primary specialty is helping clients to develop effective communication and relationship skills in order for them to have more authentic and joyful relationships. We work on how to develop and maintain boundaries in relationships, learning to communicate authentically, and how listen to and respect the needs/wants of those whom we are in relationship.
