"What do you first do when you learn to swim? You make mistakes, do you not? And what happens? You make other mistakes, and when you have made all the mistakes you possibly can without drowning - and some of them many times over - what do you find? That you can swim. Well - life is just the same as learning to swim! Do not be afraid of making mistakes, for there is no other way of learning how to live!" (Alfred Adler) THERAPY to me is Thoughtful, Hopeful, Empathic, Restoring, Affirming, Powerful, and something You can do! I approach counseling holistically-with the belief that the individual's thoughts, actions, and emotions, are not three separate units but ONE. We are all unique characters and it is critical to consider the individuals lifestyle including; diet, exercise, relationships, etc., as a part of overall human health and growth. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) also recognized as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). I enjoy working with individuals (children, adolescents, adults) couples, families, and groups, helping people resolve their issues by providing strategies/resources to deal with issues such as anxiety, depression, grief/loss, and marital/family conflict.
