My style is dynamic, effective and direct, yet supportive and validating. My clients find my approach effective and appreciate the fact that I work together as a team member with other practitioners they are involved with in treatment. I am currently a licensed MFT in the State of Nevada with several years of experience working with both adolescents and adults in a variety of capacities and in numerous levels of care, including acute, residential and outpatient practices. I am also a licensed drug and alcohol counselor in the State of Nevada. I completed my graduate training with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy at UNR. I also have an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Addiction Treatment and Prevention Services. I'm trained in both CBT and DBT, as well as in risk assessment and working with trauma. I have a strong interest and am trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD as well as DBT intensive training led by Dr. Fruzetti, PhD. Lastly, I am a Certified Positive Discipline Parenting Educator and have led parenting groups based on this philosophy.
