Welcome to my practice! I take a positive, respectful, growth-oriented approach to therapy. I believe we each have intrinsic resources for healing, as well as an innate striving for vitality, balance, wholeness, and personal maturity. Working with bereaved individuals and families over the past 10 years, I have come to appreciate the power of human resiliency, the importance of naming and claiming our stories of loss, and the transformative quality of suffering. I see my role in therapy as being a witness to your unique story, and a companion to you as you identify and manifest your goals. I love using imagery and metaphor in my practice and find the creative arts provide a wonderful compliment to talk therapy. Journaling, collage, painting, clay, storyboards, movement, mindfulness and contemplative approaches are all methods I appreciate as effective for healing and growth. I recognize that our struggles often have a spiritual or meaning-oriented component. For some clients this may be their primary reason for seeking therapy. I welcome people of all religious and spiritual orientations. I have special interest in women and families going through infertility, miscarriage, and prenatal-postpartum related issues.
