I view therapy as a collaborative process that can help you gain access to a healthier and more creative life. I provide a safe, compassionate space to explore issues related to chronic illness, anxiety/depression, grief/ loss, and relationships. Therapy can be like sanctuary - a place where there are no distractions, where there is an opportunity to pay attention to what is important, in a spirit of kindness. With my background in social work, I can easily move between the emotional and interpersonal issues and more practical concerns. I understand that talking to a stranger can be a little scary but many people tell me after just one hour they feel like they have known me for years. I am a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). I perform initial and follow-up drug and alcohol evaluations for individuals who are employed in safety-sensitive positions, as defined by the Department of Transportation (DOT), and who have a DOT drug and/or alcohol violation.
