I am a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist . I have over 25 years of experience across a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment for children and adolescents and group homes for adjudicated youth. Years ago I was also a teacher and special education director. I have spent the last 17 years working in community mental health with children, adolescents and adults as well as with adults in the prison system. It was time for a change and I am excited to be going into private practice!! I love working with a wide variety of clients. My specialties are depression and anxiety, parent effectiveness, couples and family therapy and child/adolescent behavior problems. I particularly enjoy working with all clients around life challenges - life coaching. I am a long time meditator and often use mindfulness and other holistic techniques with clients. Life is like a roller coaster. Our challenge is to enjoy each turn, find excitement in each downhill and find the lesson in the uphills. I enjoy the challenge of assisting clients to navigate the roller coaster of their lives. Together, let's pinpoint the issues, understand them and then work to solve them!!
