My areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, grief, stress, and trauma. My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that we are all resilient, each of us has unique strengths. I work with my clients to build on these strengths, increase their insight, and develop the trust needed to achieve their goals. I do this by providing a safe space in which you may process your experiences, express your feelings, challenge unhealthy relationship patterns, and develop self-awareness. We will work together to understand triggers to stress and to develop healthier coping skills. Though I enjoy treating a diverse group of clients coping with a broad spectrum of issues, I specialize in working with helping professionals, creatives, and adolescents: this includes parenting support and couples therapy. My approach to therapy with teens is unique in that a major focus is on improving child/parent communication. My clients appreciate my down-to- earth, relational style, and collaborative approach to therapy. I have advanced training in treating trauma and adolescents.
