I AM CURRENTLY ON LEAVE. My ideal client is anyone who wants more from life. Everyone can benefit from therapy regardless of life circumstances and the type of issues faced. As part of the human condition, we all face life challenges-- with some more trying than others. I can help you to identify exactly what is contributing to your feelings of distress or unfulfillment and overcome this experience by aiding you in the identification, maximization and mobilization of your innate resources and strengths. I have counseled clients suffering from a variety of diagnosable mental disorders and those who simply want to increase their life satisfaction. I have worked as a certified chemical dependency counselor and administrator and counseled individuals, couples and families in clinical, church, and school-based settings. I have also facilitated groups for substance abusers and adolescents. Having begun doctoral school, I have substantial education in the areas of psychological assessment and research. Treatment should always be tailored to the individual's needs and preferences. As a result, I may employ a variety of treatment approaches. Most importantly, a strong rapport between client and therapist and a comfortable, non-judgmental atmosphere are the principal elements for successful therapy and lasting treatment benefits.
