As a Jungian analyst, I work with persons facing moments of spiritual and psychological crisis or blockage, as they seek bridges to new life. Together we try to penetrate stuck places in the individual's life story to discover deeper meaning. Imagination is central in all Jungian work, and my practice sees the challenges of life symbolically, not just as obstacles but as possibilities for creative dialogue and transformation. Through work with dreams, fantasies, and memories we reimagine problems and create a path for life to move forward. Carl Jung centered his psychology on what he called "individuation," or becoming the person one most truly is. Life has a deep sense of purpose, an orientation toward the self within, that may shine most brightly when things seem dark. Honoring that self is at the center of my work. For over forty years I have interwoven Jungian depth psychology with spiritual practice and yoga, pursuing my own individuation as I help others seek theirs. I use techniques of art, sandplay, imagination, and dreamwork, always listening for the voice of the soul that is within all of us.
