Meredith Darroch Therapy
Marriage & Family Therapist Intern, MA, MMFT
Brentwood, Tennessee 37027

My interests within the psychotherapy field include working with couples, women, and teens. My areas of focus include marital work, life transition and stress, depression and anxiety, and grief and loss. We all seek a balanced, rich, and meaningful life in harmonious connection with others. However, issues arising from insecure attachment bases, unclear boundaries, and unhealthy patterns can lead to imbalance in ourselves and our relationships. Being human means struggling with brokenness, loss, and pain. Being human also means we have the capacity and the choice to work toward healing that brokenness and set foot on the journey toward abundant living. I approach therapy systemically and holistically with an emphasis on a person-centered orientation through both structural and emotionally-focused lenses. Additionally, I integrate the postmodern therapeutic dynamic of narrative, experiential, and collaborative therapies. I believe that ultimately an empathic perspective toward each individual's unique experience will result in effective change. The prospects of change, growth, and transformation are what I love most about the therapy process. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship can be particularly beneficial in the healing process. Therapy should be a safe place to tell your story. I strive to compassionately walk alongside my clients in their therapeutic journey.
